Trump Gives Dumbest Reason Ever For Why Missiles Didn’t Target Syrian Airbase Runways

Alleged president Donald Trump ordered a military strike Thursday on a Syrian government airbase in response to a chemical weapons attack that killed dozens of civilians earlier in the week. 59 Tomahawk missiles manufactured by Raytheon were launched but the Syrian air base was barely harmed and the next day it was already back in operation. By the way, Trump that makes the Tomahawks. The shares of Raytheon spiked today. So, before the strike, Trump told Russia of his plans, then Russia told Assad, then Syria removed employees from the area, then amateur president ordered the launch of the Tomahawk missiles which he will personally profit from.

Trump just tweeted, “The reason you don’t generally hit runways is that they are easy and inexpensive to quickly fix (fill in and top)!”

“Initial indications are that this strike has severely damaged or destroyed Syrian aircraft and support infrastructure and equipment at Shayrat Airfield, reducing the Syrian Government’s ability to deliver chemical weapons,” the Pentagon Thursday.

But now many are questioning that assessment.

Just hours after the strikes, Syrian warplanes carried out attacks from the same air base Trump ‘attacked’ just 11 weeks after taking the oath of office.

Trump didn’t think this out very well.

Trump has warned that the U.S. was prepared to take further military action, if necessary. We’re wondering how much he’ll profit from the next attack. The missiles did not hit the runways and now Trump is claiming that was intentional even though only non-operational planes were hit. No suspected chemical weapons stockpiles at the air base were targeted.

He’s good at distracting the public from his many scandals, though.
