Sarah Huckabee Sanders Attacks Democrats; Makes The Most Hypocritical Statement

We’ve seen this administration make a lot of insufferably hypocritical statements — more than perhaps any before them. To call the Trump White House “tone-deaf” is as big an understatement as one can make. But the garbage that came out of Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ mouth yesterday at a press briefing has to be in the top five dumbest, most hypocritical things ever uttered by a member of this administration.

And there’s absolutely nobody we would rather see draw them into saying something so dumb than Rep. Ted Lieu of California. He has been a blue-ribbon thorn in the side of the Trump administration since day one, and shows no signs of slowing down.

After Trump’s Press Secretary told reporters that Democrats “should have been begging” to participate in the creation of the tax bill — a notion so preposterous, given its unpopularity and who it benefits, that for her to say it to begin with is hilarious — political website The Hill released a story that was improperly titled in such a way that it appeared she was saying that Republicans had “begged” Democrats to work with them on it.

That’s also hilariously wrong, and Rep. Lieu jumped on that headline, tweeting “Dear : You don’t serve in Congress. I do. And I can say with absolute certainty that you are lying.”

It was a reasonable thing to say, given the misleading headline and Sanders’ track record with the truth. But despite knowing that The Hill‘s tweet was wrong when Lieu tweeted, Sanders shot back:

Dear — I don’t serve in Congress, but I can read. If you had read the story, not an incorrect tweet, you would see that what I said was Dems should be begging to help Americans keep more of their money. You should spend less time tweeting, more time doing your job.”

Now that is some grade-A, champion hypocrisy right there. For a woman that works for Donald Trump to tell anyone to spend less time tweeting is… well, it’s ludicrous.

Rep. Lieu wasn’t quite finished, though:

Dear : If the Hill tweet was incorrect, then my tweet based on it would also be incorrect. Unlike the Trump Administration, I am confident enough to admit errors. Also, I dare you to give the same tweeting advice you gave me to your boss.”

SNAP!

We only wish Trump would give his thumbs a rest. Our sides are starting to hurt.
