Paul Ryan And Pentagon Just Put Trump IN HIS PLACE For Transgender Ban Tweet (DETAILS)

Yesterday, Donald Trump shocked the entire country when he suddenly – without any warning whatsoever – announced that he was going to ban transgender individuals from serving in the United States military.

It was a decision that Trump made without consulting or telling anyone, as the Pentagon had no idea it was happening and Trump’s own Joint Chiefs of Staff. Defense Secretary James Mattis was on vacation at the time and left in the dark about Trump’s impromptu policy change. Not even top Republicans were aware that this was happening, and it has earned Trump all sorts of criticism.

In response to the transgender military ban, several GOPers have expressed their disappointment. Mattis himself said he was “appalled” that Trump would make such an announcement over Twitter, which once again opens the discussion of whether or not Trump’s tweets can be considered official statements from the White House. It turns out, the Pentagon and several lawmakers think Trump and his tweets are full of sh*t.

While most of the country erupted in outrage over the transgender ban tweets, Pentagon officials almost shrugged the whole thing off, refusing to take Trump and his childish Twitter habit seriously. Buzzfeed national security correspondent Nancy Youssef reported that the Pentagon had a rather interesting reaction to Trump’s announcement:

On Thursday, Marine Gen. Joe Dunford of the Joint Chiefs defied Trump in a more official statement when he told service members that there “will be no modifications to the current policy until the President’s direction has been received by the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary has issued implementation guidance. In the meantime, we will continue to treat all of our personnel with respect.”

And Speaker of the House Paul Ryan continued his tendency to ignore anything that Trump does on social media. In a press conference earlier today, a reporter asked Ryan, “So about the president’s latest tweet…” Ryan laughed and said, “I don’t read that stuff,” proving that no one actually respects Trump as POTUS or takes his Twitter posts seriously.
