Now Trump Is Attacking His Own Administration, Including Jeff Sessions

Donald Trump is incapable of accepting the blame for any of his actions so he lashes out at his own administration, the media, and our allies. This time, the 70-year-old mentally unstable ‘president’ is turning on an unlikely official: Attorney General Jeff Sessions. The former reality show star is blaming Sessions for recusing himself from investigations of his Russian influence/meddling/collusion scandals. We are not defending Sessions here because he had his own meetings with Russian officials and he’s a racist windbag, but so is his boss. Instead of learning from his mistakes, Trump is blaming Sessions for his scandal-plagued White House.

Trump used his Twitter account yesterday to blast his own Department of Justice in order to defend his Muslim ban. Trump thinks his own Dept. Of Justice is too ‘politically correct.’ Let that sink in for a moment.

The New York Times reports:

The discontent was on display on Monday in a series of stark early-morning postings on Twitter in which the president faulted his own Justice Department for its defense of his travel ban on visitors from certain predominantly Muslim countries. Mr. Trump accused Mr. Sessions’s department of devising a “politically correct” version of the ban — as if the president had nothing to do with it.

On Thursday, it’s Comey time. Former FBI Director James Comey is scheduled to testify and obviously, Trump is feeling the heat. People close to Trump told the Times that Trump has been fuming for months over Sessions’ recusal that eventually led to the appointment of a special counsel who took over the investigation.

But, there were calls for Sessions to recuse himself after he committed perjury but Trump never let facts get in his way of throwing a tantrum.

Trump needs to realize that when he tweets, other people can see them.

They wholly undercut the idea that there is some rational process behind the president’s decisions,” said Walter E. Dellinger, who served as acting solicitor general under Mr. Clinton. “I believe it is unprecedented for a president to publicly chastise his own Justice Department.”

Trump seems to forget that he signed the revised executive order and the tweets he unleashed made it sound like the Justice Department was not part of his administration.

It might be a good idea for Sessions to look for another job.

A senior administration official said Mr. Trump has not stopped burning about the decision, in occasional spurts, toward Mr. Sessions. Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein, who was selected by Mr. Sessions and filled in when it came to the Russia investigation, ultimately appointed Robert S. Mueller III, a former F.B.I. director, as special counsel to lead the probe.

The Times reported that Trump is aware that firing anyone following the Comey termination from the FBI would be risky. However, conservatives thought an unpredictable president would be a good idea so they voted for a former reality show star, who is now proved to be corrupt AF. So, anything could happen at this point.

Watching Trump cannibalize his own administration is spectacular to watch, though.
