Lawmaker Introduces ‘Stable Genius Act’ That Would Put A HUGE Damper On Trump’s 2020 Run (REPORT)

It wasn’t just after the release of Michael Wolff’s book ‘”Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” that people started questioning Donald Trump’s mental stability. The so-called president’s chaotic Twitter timeline mirrors what’s in the book. Trump has lashed out at North Korea’s dictator, taunting him with the prospect of a nuclear war. But, Wolff’s book shows that the people around Trump also think he’s unfit to hold office. It’s not just us. These thoughts are coming from inside the White House, too. Questions from reporters about Trump’s mental health are haunting the administration, so much so that the former reality show star unleashed a tweet, saying that he is a “very stable genius” as if that clears up the matter.

Rep. Brendan Boyle (D-PA)  that he will introduce legislation called the “Stable Genius Act” that would require presidential candidates to undergo a mental health examination.

The act which will be introduced in the House on Tuesday would require all presidential candidates to file a Federal Election Commission (FEC) report “certifying that he or she has undergone medical examination by the medical office under the jurisdiction of the Secretary of the Navy.”

In a statement, Boyle said that voters have the right to know whether a candidate has the mental fitness to serve as President.

“Before voting for the highest office in the land, Americans have a right to know whether an individual has the physical and mental fitness to serve as President,” he said.

Trump responded to Wolff’s book over the weekend to declare that he is a “stable genius.”

“Actually, throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart. Crooked Hillary Clinton also played these cards very hard and, as everyone knows, went down in flames. I went from VERY successful businessman, to top T.V. Star…to President of the United States (on my first try). I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius….and a very stable genius at that!” Trump tweeted.

Boyle referred to that tweet on Tuesday, saying that Trump’s election has exposed a “flaw” in America’s election systems.

“The President believes he is a ‘stable genius.’ I do not,” Boyle continued. “President Trump’s reckless, erratic behavior has exposed a critical flaw in our existing election process.”

“While it is necessary to take the current President’s concerning behavior seriously and I support legislation to address these ongoing concerns, I believe we must also be proactive and do all we can to ensure a situation like this does not arise again,” he added.

However, with Republicans in control of Congress, Americans may have to continue dealing with a madman in the White House. But, if Trump really is a “stable genius” then they shouldn’t worry about him being evaluated, right?
