JUST IN: Former FBI Director James Comey On Trump’s “Tapes”, “Bring Them On!” [WATCH HERE]

Fired FBI Director James Comey is “not worried” about Donald Trump’s suggestion that conversations between the two men could have been taped, .

Citing an anonymous source, CNN also reported that Comey was not the one to ask for a dinner meeting with Trump, as the president had suggested in a Thursday interview with NBC’s Lester Holt.

Trump appeared to threaten Comey Friday morning, suggesting that there may be recordings of a January conversation between the two.

“James Comey better hope that there are no “tapes” of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!” he wrote on Twitter.

The tweet came a day after The New York Times reported that Trump had demanded that Comey pledge his loyalty to him at a private dinner at the White House in January. Comey, according to the account, refused to do so and instead offered to pledge his honesty.

The White House said that the Times’ account of the dinner was untrue and rejected the notion that Trump would make such a demand of the leader of a law enforcement agency.

But according to CNN’s report, Comey would have nothing to worry about even if Trump had recorded their conversation.

“If there is a tape, there’s nothing he is worried about,” CNN quoted the source as saying.
