The Internet Immediately Fact-Checks Trump After He Tweets Out Fake News Again

Fake news ‘President’ Donald Trump tweeted out fake news again on Wednesday while Hurricane Irma is barreling down on the Atlantic. The former reality show star calls out networks which are critical of him to label them as ‘fake news’ but he is the main purveyor of false information. With Trump in such a powerful position, he should already know the tax rates ahead of his upcoming trip to North Dakota to discuss tax reform. Nevertheless, Trump again claimed that the U.S. is the highest taxed nation in the world, despite data to the contrary.

“Will be going to North Dakota today to discuss tax reform and tax cuts,” he tweeted. “We are the highest taxed nation in the world – that will change.”

The Organizations for Economic Cooperate and Development’s date shows that the U.S. is behind in regards to taxation in countries such as the U.K., Germany, and France.

Internet users called out the so-called president on his blatant lie.

Trump has repeated this lie at least four times now.

Trump is never one to let facts get in his way.
