Donald Trump is now the leader of the Republican Party

The Senate Judiciary ranking member Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) added a nonbinding amendment to an unrelated nuclear terrorism bill that stated:

"it is the sense of the Senate that the U.S. must not bar individuals from entering into the United States based on their religion".

You would think this would be an easy yes for any politician, right? Nope. We are talking about the Republican party. Four Republican Senators voted against this amendment and essentially sided with Trump. And one of those Senators was Ted Cruz....surprise, surprise.

  1. Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.)
  2. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX.)
  3. Sen. David Vitter (R-LA.)
  4. Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC.)

I think its time to crown Donald Trump the king of the GOP! For he is able to make politicians commit political suicide.
