Conservative Pastor Says He’d Vote For Trump Over Jesus Because Jesus Is Weak (AUDIO)

If you ever needed more proof that conservative “Christians” reject the teachings of Jesus this is pretty concrete.

During a radio interview on Tuesday, megachurch pastor Robert Jeffress hypocritically abandoned his crusade for a religious government by stating that if Jesus were the candidate opposing Trump .

You know, I was debating an evangelical professor on NPR, and this professor said, ‘Pastor, don’t you want a candidate who embodies the teaching of Jesus and would govern this country according to the principles found in the Sermon on the Mount?’ I said, ‘Heck no.’ I would run from that candidate as far as possible, because the Sermon on the Mount was not given as a governing principle for this nation.

In other words, Jeffress would reject Jesus and all the values he stood for.

That’s not too much of a contradiction, of course. After all, conservatives have always shunned the teachings of Jesus because they go against their hateful agenda.

But the interesting part here is Jeffress saying that the Sermon on the Mount is not “a governing principle for this nation.” This is coming from the same man who constantly preaches that the Bible should be the law of the land instead of the Constitution. Now all of a sudden he’s flip-flopping. Either that or he’s cherry-picking the Bible as usual.

So why would Jeffress vote against Jesus? Well, according to Jeffress it’s because Jesus is weak and Trump is a “strongman.”

Government is to be a strongman to protect its citizens against evildoers. When I’m looking for somebody who’s going to deal with ISIS and exterminate ISIS, I don’t care about that candidate’s tone or vocabulary, I want the meanest, toughest, son of a you-know-what I can find — and I believe that’s biblical.

So, let’s get this straight. Jeffress is saying that Donald Trump, a man who embodies hate, bigotry, and has zero compassion for others, is stronger than the son of God.

Basically, Jeffress would vote for Satan if it meant beating ISIS.

Those “evildoers” Jeffress mentioned also includes , whom he said are being rightfully killed by police officers who were sent by God.

Clearly, Jeffress is not a real Christian and he should resign as pastor of his church, but we all know he won’t do so because the real deity he worships is money. And frankly, it doesn’t appear that Jeffress even reads the Bible he claims to revere so much. If he did, he would have noticed these verses:

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4: “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.”

Daniel 7:25: “He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, shall persecute the saints of the Most High, and shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand for a time and times and half a time.”

Seriously, if Jeffress can’t recognize that these very verses about the anti-Christ describe Trump to a T he’s a very poor excuse for a Christian indeed.
