Congressman Sent VP Pence Proof That Flynn Was Corrupt Before He Was Ever Hired (IMAGES)

On November 18, 2016, just ten days after the presidential election that saw the electoral college award Donald Trump with the keys to the White House contrary to the wishes of America, then-VP-elect Mike Pence got a letter from Representative Elijah Cummings. Inside that letter was damning evidence against Lieutenant General Michael Flynn, the man that the incoming Trump administration would soon hire as National Security Adviser.

Cummings sent the letter as soon as he was alerted to Trump’s selection, and it was with good reason he sent it: In it, he details the very serious conflicts of interest held by General Flynn between loyalty to the United States and his interests as a lobbyist for foreign governments including Turkey and Russia, and raises concerns about the fact that while Flynn was on Trump’s campaign — and receiving classified US briefings, his consulting firm Flynn Intel Group was being paid by those governments to work on their behalf.

Flynn’s own lawyer at the time confirmed that the General’s interests laid outside strictly American goals, telling news agencies that Turkey specifically wanted to be kept “posted on what we all want to be informed of: the present situation, the transition between President Obama and President-Elect Trump,” and that doing so was part of the mission of Flynn’s consulting firm.

Cummings went on to point out that Flynn in noted political publication The Hill specifically calling for certain US stances toward Turkey — again, a country he was being PAID to lobby for — on election day.

Flynn was also paid to go to Moscow for a dinner honoring the Kremlin-back media outlet Russia Today, sitting at the head of the table with President Vladimir Putin. That night in Moscow, Flynn gave a speech highly critical of the United States, saying that we couldn’t just “sit there and say, ‘Russia, you’re bad.'”

The Congressman pointed out to the Vice President that the Trump For America, Inc. Code of Ethical Conduct should have precluded General Flynn from being selected for the team, had he answered honestly.

And what did Mike Pence do with that information? He didn’t just conceal it.

He lied about it.

If Trump is getting worried at this point, Vice President Mike Pence should be equally distraught at the prospect of being dragged before Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel and being forced to either lie again or admit his culpability in allowing the corrupt General Flynn to take part in the Trump campaign and administration.
