BREAKING: Flynn Was Told To Break The Law By ‘Senior Trump Official’ – Now We Know Who It Was

It’s always the quiet ones you have to watch out for, as they say. Former reality show star Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, as it happens, was the one who directed disgraced former national security adviser Michael Flynn to lobby foreign officials ahead of a December 2016 United Nations (U.N.) vote that condemned Israeli settlements, The Wall Street Journal .

In last month’s plea agreement with special counsel Robert Mueller, Flynn “admitted to having placed calls to officials from multiple countries, including Russia, about the Israel resolution and to having ‘falsely stated’ to the Federal Bureau of Investigation that he had only asked the countries about their position on the text,” according to the Journal.

According to people familiar with the matter, Kushner, “directed Flynn” during the transition period to contact the officials to “influence those governments to delay the vote or defeat the resolution.”

In the end, the lobbying efforts failed, and in December of 2016 the U.N. voted to condemn a new wave of Israeli settlements as a “flagrant violation” of international law with “no legal validity.”

Legal experts have questioned whether the U.N. lobbying effort ran afoul of an 18th century law called the Logan Act, which bars unauthorized private citizens from negotiating with foreign officials in a dispute with the U.S. But there are no precedents to suggest how that law might apply. White House lawyers say the statute doesn’t apply to transition teams; other legal experts say it could.”

So, here we are bringing in 2018, and we are worried about an administration that has only been in power for just under a year, and yet, we’re discussing whether they violated the law. Who knew that bringing together a bumbling, moronic, cast of characters and calling them an ‘administration’ would not work out? Besides all of us, I mean.
