Bin Laden Documents Reveal a “Bitchy” and “Totally Unsupportive” Management Style

“OH MY EFFING GOD, YOU GUYS!” began one of many letters found after the Navy Seals raided Bin Ladin's compound in May of last year. In his letters, Bin Ladin shared concerns about the way senior leadership was handling offshoots of the organization around the globe. “What the hell is going on with our satellite offices?!” he said in one letter, “Can these guys even tell their assholes from the holes in their ground? I swear to god, it's like I hired a bunch of monkeys!”

Interviews with unnamed sources have confirmed Bin Ladin's temper and complaints about his managerial style. “I mean, I'm not going to bullshit you here,” said a former lieutenant of Bin Laden's, speaking anonymously, “he was a difficult man to work for. Al Quaeda is a shame-based organization. It's just criticism after criticism after criticism – 'why didn't you blow up this', 'why didn't you kill that', 'if you were any good at your job you'd be dead by now'.......it's tough to stay motivated.”

Among the revelations that came to light from the letters' release was Bin Ladin's lack of control over the missions of his followers. After the failed plot by Faisal Shahzad to blow up a car in Times Square, Bin Ladin wrote, “Do me a favor, guys, ok? Take a look at me and tell me if I am an asshole. No seriously! I mean it! I want you to look me in the face, and tell me if I am an asshole. Because I must be an asshole if one of my guys couldn't even blow up a fucking car!!! For Christ's sake! One of my WIVES would have done a better job!! Speaking of wives, could you please send me some more Just For Men in 'Commodore Black'? And if you see any of those cargo pants – the ones that make my butt look good – pick me up a couple of pairs?”
