Biography

We live in a world of make-believe institutionalized by man-made systems of control which seek to disparage, undermine, and enslave society. Let Scott Mullin and Sean Namanny (aka Upside Downtrodden) help set you free. They're making a documentary film about it all, and somewhere along the way, they decided to chronicle their amazing journey with lively podcasts that you can find on iTunes and juicy articles that you can enjoy right here on The Politicus.

It’s Tuesday September 18th (on the West coast)! Do you know where your podcast is? On this day in history back in 1851, the first issue of The New York Times was published. You know, that liberal rag with that infamous liberal media bias. You know, the one founded by Whig politician, Henry Jarvis Raymond. That commie! You know, the same Henry Jarvis Raymond who later became the second chairman of the Republican National Committee. That pinko! You know, the guy whose paper was praised by Republican President Abraham Lincoln with comments like, “The Times, I believe, is always true to the Union.” Oh my God, what a liberal! Okay. Okay. That was quite some time ago, and the world has changed...or has it? Perhaps there is a little liberal bias in the more liberal media outlets (whatever liberal means), just as there is a little conservative bias in the more conservative media outlets (whatever conservative means), just as there is a little bat shit crazy bias in the more bat shit crazy media outlets (we’re looking at you, FOX). The puppet master(s) have us bickering over a figment of their imagination. Every time we argue whether or not there is a liberal media bias, we play right into their hands. We could sit here all day, and tell you there isn’t any liberal bias in today’s media (and that’s a fact), but that doesn’t matter. What matters is that there is a tremendous amount of corporate bias in nearly all forms of media. Forget what you’ve been made to believe by your channel of choice (as if you have any). Whether it be ABC News, CNN, or MSNBC, one thing is certain. These media monsters are not news agencies, and they aren’t concerned with quality journalism. They’re infotainment outlets concerned only with ratings, demographics, and (most importantly) profits. They’ve got to say and do whatever it takes to keep you watching, even if that means catering the so-called “news” (and stretching the truth) to please your social, political, and economic palate. And as far as slightly less trashy powerhouse papers like The New York Times are concerned, they don’t even care about selling papers anymore. All they (and the rest of their publishing counterparts) want to do is sell readers to advertisers. Circulation matters insomuch as it helps to harvest that coveted ad revenue. Chalk up another victory for the love of money. Seems like everything’s for sale these days, even our public airwaves that allow our media propagandists to brainwash us in the first place. Don’t believe us? Just check out the article below from The (aforementioned) New York Times. And when you’re done reading, get busy listening…to our brand new episode, that is. We can assure you that the only bias we care about is Len Bias. He would have ensured the Celtics kept the title away from the Lakers in 1987, and that’s a fact! Click the link below, and download our podcast today! Warning: Podcast may contain a little truth bias.
