Why Moshe Dayan called a legend?

November 9, 2011 by egor.solovev.00

"A lot of times do not spend a quarter of an hour, not otherwise
So your dog's hunger is just vodka uymesh.
I try to tell everything that had happened, unadorned,
The truth will be just right. "

Moshe Dayan

There are politicians who even during his lifetime cause mixed feelings. One of them - Moshe Dayan. Soviet propaganda portrayed him as a symbol of "Israeli Zionism and militarism." Journal "Crocodile" and the Soviet press regularly printed the cartoons on it.

Did not pass it to their attention and Vladimir Vysotsky. The song is about Misha Shifman line: "... Moshe Dayan - sterva-eyed! Aggressive beast, who is the pharaoh! Well, where aggression - there is no reason to me. " Hard face, a black armband on his left eye and a hooked nose did Dayan perfect negative hero. Its mark on all Party meetings, rallies and lectures, the Society "Knowledge".    Read more

March 2, 2011 by Nicholas Barrett

On the American cable channel Fox Business an inexplicable whooshing nose accompanies graphics resembling the opening titles of robot wars as a gray middle-aged presenter introduces his boss live on air. “Chairman thanks very much for joining us we appreciate it sir”, “good afternoon” replies the Australian media baron.    Read more

It's Only Unethical When It's Called 'News'

November 17, 2010 by Tina Dupuy

Unethical Media
Why doesn't the Left have a Fox News? Why isn't there a liberal version of political organizing on television?

Imagine an entire 24-hour cable news network devoted to political causes. Many of their employees are future and former candidates for president, giving them a national platform to reach potential voters. Entire "movements" of political discourse are not only showcased - they're even started on this news channel.    Read more

Ayatollah welcomes Iranian nuclear scientist home with empty hands

September 8, 2010 by Orly

In Iran on Thursday, a nuclear scientist from Iran who had initially defected in 2009 to the US, returned home. The CIA allegedly kidnapped Shahram Amiri, if you ask him. U.S. officials say he defected on his own free will and apparently got homesick. Some speculate that Amiri has been an agent controlled by the Iranian government all along.    Read more

July 19, 2009 by Andrew17

WASHINGTON — The American soldier who disappeared June 30 from his base in eastern Afghanistan and was later confirmed to have been captured, appeared on a video posted Saturday to a Web site by the Taliban, two U.S. defense officials said. The soldier is shown in the 28-minute video with his head shaved and the start of a beard. He is sitting and dressed in a nondescript, gray outfit. Early in the video one of his captors holds the soldier's dog tag up to the camera. His name and ID number are clearly visible. He is shown eating at one point and sitting on a bed.    Read more

Domestic Terrorism: Why The DHS Report Was So Right!

June 10, 2009 by THE POLITICUS

If you remember in April 2009 the Obama administration released the Domestic Home Land Security Report (DHS Report). Section “U” of the report caused a firestorm of controversy because it identified an area of concern regarding disgruntle military veterans and domestic terrorism. House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, criticized the report with other republicans, saying its portrayal of veterans was "offensive and unacceptable." Many republicans demanded an apology from Home Land Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. Under pressure she offered an apology to veterans.    Read more

Changing the Channel

April 27, 2009 by Living Liberally

We're familiar with the repeated metaphors pundits use to describe America. The tide is turning," "the tables have turned, "America is turning a new page." It's enough turning to make one dizzy. As a kindle-phobic book-hugger, I love "turning pages" as much as anyone...but I am going to offer another metaphor: America is changing the channel. No, we shouldn't replace book imagery with TV imagery...but this metaphor is more than rhetoric -- more and more Americans are changing our country by changing one particular channel...and tuning out Fox "News."    Read more
