But now that Olbermann had crashed and burned over at Current TV, and O'Donnell has turned into a pretty effective pundit, I have changed my mind. For an example of why I like O'Donnell so much, consider this depressingly accurate tirade about the Newsweek cover with the headline, “The First Gay President.” Read more
Reading an article from DeWayne Wickham in the Tuesday morning edition concerning a group called Log Cabin Republicans, which is a gay organization for Republican gay people, some things came to mind. For me as a gay Democrat of why gay people, no matter what their political affiliation is, would be angry because America’s first black president gave them his support to marry the one they love. Conservatives go to the High Court with the low goal
of making it harder for Americans to get healthcare,

I realize that the former senator from Pennsylvania needs to throw some raw meat at his conservative base but President Barack Obama’s Christianity should be off the table when it comes to his criticism. To me, that’s a personal attack on someone’s spirituality and it shows a lack of real Christian values from Mr. Santorum.
Recently Santorum spoke concerning President Obama’s agenda, saying “not about you. It’s not about your quality of life. It’s not about your jobs. It’s about some phony ideal. Some phony theology. Not a theology based on the Bible. A different theology.” Read more
2/12/12 The Catholic Health Association, the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities and Catholic Charities USA all support President Obama’s compromise on requiring contraception coverage. Yet Republicans appear hell-bent on opposing Obama’s plan to ensure that women receive health care coverage for contraception. Buoyed by the U.S. Read more
